Whether it's a birthday, family get-together, anniversary, wedding, graduation or work event, one thing is almost guaranteed:
Someone photographs the decorations. Someone films the speeches. There are pictures of people laughing, dancing, eating and hugging — plus a few nobody even remembers being taken.
And most of those photos go with them.
Everyone has photos. Nobody has all of them.
“I've got loads of photos. I'll send them to you.”
A few arrive on WhatsApp. Some appear on social media. Others sit in group chats or stay on people's phones.
And eventually, everyone gets busy and they're forgotten.
It's something I've experienced myself.
When we got married in 2006, we didn't have a professional photographer. Our family and friends took the photos, and those became our wedding memories.
Over the years, though, they ended up scattered across CDs, computers, hard drives and different folders.
We found them, but it made me realise something:
Taking photos isn't the problem. Bringing everyone's photos together is.
Everyone captures something different
Your guests already have a camera in their pocket, and they'll often capture moments you don't see yourself.
The birthday candles from the other side of the room.
Grandparents laughing with the grandchildren.
Friends dancing when they think nobody's watching.
Someone's reaction during a speech.
Children doing something completely unexpected.
They're not necessarily perfectly composed photographs.
And sometimes those become your favourites.
So how do you collect them?
WhatsApp groups, email, shared folders and photo albums can all work.
The problem is usually what happens after the event.
People go home. Life gets busy. Sharing the photos becomes something they'll do later.
And later sometimes never happens.
That's why it makes sense to give everyone somewhere to share their photos while they're actually at the event.
One QR code makes it simple
That's one of the reasons we created Flashback Memories.
Create a gallery for your event and you'll have your own QR code to share with your guests.
Put it on a table. Display it at the venue. Send it to friends and family.
Guests simply scan it and add the photos and videos they've captured.
No app to download.
No guest account to create.
No chasing everyone afterwards.
Just one place for everyone's memories.
It's about more than one type of event
Flashback Memories isn't just for weddings.
It's for the moments that bring people together.
Birthdays. Anniversaries. Graduations. Family reunions. Christmas parties. Work events. Days out with friends. Weddings. Even a simple family gathering.
Because whatever the occasion, everyone sees it slightly differently.
You can't be everywhere at once.
While you're talking to somebody, another moment is happening somewhere else.
And they might have captured something you didn't even know happened.
Years later, that could be the memory you're most pleased somebody saved.
Different people. Different perspectives. All your memories together.
